其智高於穹蒼、爾能何為、深於陰府、爾有何知、

大哉上帝之智乎、雖上窮碧落、下及黃泉、周行陸地、徧歷滄海、亦終莫之能測。

They are higher than the heavens above— what can you do? They are deeper than the depths below— what can you know?

“ God is so great— higher than the heavens, higher than the farthest stars.

Look up into the sky, and see the clouds high above you.

“ Even if they dig down to the place of the dead, I will reach down and pull them up. Even if they climb up into the heavens, I will bring them down.

For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

The underworld is naked in God’s presence. The place of destruction is uncovered.

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Let them all praise the name of the Lord. For his name is very great; his glory towers over the earth and heaven!

“ But will God really live on earth among people? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you. How much less this Temple I have built!

It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.No one can comprehend the height of heaven, the depth of the earth, or all that goes on in the king’s mind!

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.

For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
