空虚的人却毫无知识；人生在世好像野驴的驹子。

空虚的人若获得知识，野驴生下的驹子也成了人。

But the witless can no more become wise than a wild donkey’s colt can be born human.

A wild donkey’s colt can’t be born a human being. And it’s just as impossible that a person without sense can become wise.

But a stupid man will get understanding when a wild donkey’s colt is born a man!

An empty headed person won’t become wise any more than a wild donkey can bear a human child.

But a stupid person will gain understanding as soon as a wild donkey is born a human!

For an empty-headed man will be wise, When a wild donkey’s colt is born a man.

But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born as a wild ass’s colt.

But a stupid man will gain understanding as soon as a wild donkey is born a man!

For vain man would be wise, though man be born[ like] a wild ass’s colt.

But an empty man will become wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a human being.

An empty- headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.

“ Who sent the wild donkey out free? And who opened the bonds of the swift donkey,To whom I gave the wilderness as his home, And the salt land as his dwelling place?He laughs at the turmoil of the city, He does not hear the shouting of the taskmaster.He explores the mountains of his pasture, And searches after every green thing.

Then I was stupid and ignorant; I was like an animal before You.

But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

I said to myself regarding the sons of mankind,“ God is testing them in order for them to see that they are as animals, they to themselves.”

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

And to mankind He said,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to turn away from evil is understanding.’ ”

A stupid person has no knowledge, Nor does a foolish person understand this:

Behold, I was brought forth in guilt, And in sin my mother conceived me.

He captures the wise by their own cleverness, And the advice of the cunning is quickly thwarted.

“ Truly then you are the people, And with you wisdom will die!But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these?

I am certainly more stupid than any man, And I do not have the understanding of a man;Nor have I learned wisdom, Nor do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His Son’s name? Surely you know!

People of low standing are only breath, and people of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up. Together they are lighter than breath.Do not trust in oppression, And do not vainly rely on robbery; If wealth increases, do not set your heart on it.

A wild donkey accustomed to the wilderness, That sniffs the wind in her passion. Who can turn her away in her mating season? None who seek her will grow weary; In her month they will find her.

What is man, that he would be pure, Or he who is born of a woman, that he would be righteous?

Claiming to be wise, they became fools,

Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. For it is written:“ He is the one who catches the wise by their craftiness”;and again,“ The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are useless.”

Among them we too all previously lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest.

Does the wild donkey bray over his grass, Or does the ox low over his feed?

Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
