Are Your days like the days of a mortal, Or Your years like a man’s year,

你的日子岂像人的日子，你的年岁岂像人的年岁，

你的日子岂像人的日子，你的年岁岂像壮士的年岁，

你的日子岂像人的日子，你的年岁岂像壮士的年岁，

难道你的年日有限，岁月如世人般短暂？

你的日子不如人的日子，你的年岁不像人的年岁，

你的日子豈像人的日子，你的年歲豈像人的年歲，

你的日子豈像人的日子，你的年歲豈像壯士的年歲，

你的日子豈像人的日子，你的年歲豈像壯士的年歲，

難道你的年日有限，歲月如世人般短暫？

你的日子不如人的日子，你的年歲不像人的年歲，

難道你的日子像人的日子？你的年歲像人的年歲？

爾日豈如人之日、爾年豈如人之年、

爾壽爾年、豈若人之短促哉。

主之日豈如人之日乎、主之歲豈如人之歲乎、

Are your days like those of a mortal or your years like those of a strong man,

Your days aren’t like the days of a mere human being. Your years aren’t even like the years of a strong man.

Are your days as the days of man, or your years as a man’s years,

Is your lifetime only as long as ours? Is your life so short

Are your days like those of a human, or your years like those of a man,

Are Your days like the days of a mortal man? Are Your years like the days of a mighty man,

Are thy days as the days of man, Or thy years as man’s days,

Are Your days like those of a human, or Your years like those of a man,

[ Are] thy days as the days of man?[ are] thy years as man’s days,

Are your days like the days of a mortal, or your years like the years of a mortal,

Are your days as the days of mortals, or your years as man’s years,

But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

I say,“ My God, do not take me away in the middle of my days, Your years are throughout all generations.In time of old You founded the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.Even they will perish, but You endure; All of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them and they will pass away.But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.

And like a robe You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”

Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.You turn mortals back into dust And say,“ Return, you sons of mankind.”For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or like a watch in the night.

Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable.

But You, Lord, remain forever, And Your name remains to all generations.
