If I hold my head high, you stalk me like a lion and again display your awesome power against me.

If I become proud, you hunt me down like a lion. You show your mighty power against me.

And were my head lifted up, you would hunt me like a lion and again work wonders against me.

If I am proud, you hunt me like a lion and again display your miraculous power against me.

And should my head be high, You would hunt me like a lion; And You would show Your power against me again.

then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues— great and prolonged plagues— and serious and prolonged sicknesses.

If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.”
