耶穌曰：『予若自榮、亦何榮之有？榮予者吾父也！吾父非他、即爾自言為爾天主者是。

Jesus replied,“ If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.

Jesus replied,“ If I bring glory to myself, my glory means nothing. You claim that my Father is your God. He is the one who brings glory to me.

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say,‘ He is our God.’

Jesus answered,“ If I want glory for myself, it doesn’t count. But it is my Father who will glorify me. You say,‘ He is our God,’

“ If I glorify myself,” Jesus answered,“ my glory is nothing. My Father— about whom you say,‘ He is our God’— he is the one who glorifies me.

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say,‘ He is our God’;

Jesus answered,“ If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God.

Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God;

“ If I glorify Myself,” Jesus answered,“ My glory is nothing. My Father— you say about Him,‘ He is our God’— He is the One who glorifies Me.

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Jesus replied,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is worthless. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you people say,‘ He is our God.’

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge. (niv)

It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honorable to search out matters that are too deep. (niv)

For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. (niv)

He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying,“ This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (niv)

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:“ Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. (niv)

He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” (niv)

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (niv)

When he was gone, Jesus said,“ Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him.If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once. (niv)

Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.“ Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.“ Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. “ If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is true. (niv)

“ In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. (niv)

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. (niv)

The Lord says to my lord:“ Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying,“ Rule in the midst of your enemies!”Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind:“ You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (niv)

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. (niv)

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. (niv)

“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me,“ You are my son; today I have become your father.Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. (niv)

Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. (niv)

And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him,“ You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” (niv)

“ Listen to this, you descendants of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and come from the line of Judah, you who take oaths in the name of the Lord and invoke the God of Israel— but not in truth or righteousness—you who call yourselves citizens of the holy city and claim to rely on the God of Israel— the Lord Almighty is his name: (niv)

Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and boast in God;if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law;if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark,an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth—you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?As it is written:“ God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.So then, if those who are not circumcised keep the law’s requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised?The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God. (niv)

By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (niv)

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. (niv)

“ I do not accept glory from human beings, (niv)

You are doing the works of your own father.”“ We are not illegitimate children,” they protested.“ The only Father we have is God himself.” (niv)

he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. (niv)

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word:“ Your own people who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said,‘ Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy!’ Yet they will be put to shame. (niv)

Then the Lord said,“ Call him Lo- Ammi( which means“ not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God. (niv)

What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. (niv)
