Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.

A slave has no lasting place in the family. But a son belongs to the family forever.

The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever.

A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.

A slave does not remain in the household forever, but a son does remain forever.

Now the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever.

And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever: the son abideth for ever.

A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.

Therefore she said to Abraham,“ Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, namely with Isaac.”

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out,“ Abba, Father.”The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out,“ Abba, Father!”Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Nevertheless what does the Scripture say?“ Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.”So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

“ And he said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

But if he gives a gift of some of his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the year of liberty, after which it shall return to the prince. But his inheritance shall belong to his sons; it shall become theirs.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

They said to Him,“ He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.”Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures:‘ The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?“ Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

“ A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
