To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,“ If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Jesus spoke to the Jews who had believed him.“ If you obey my teaching,” he said,“ you are really my disciples.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

Jesus said to the people who believed in him,“ You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you continue in my word, you really are my disciples.

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,“ If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,[ then] are ye my disciples indeed;

Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him,“ If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples

Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him,“ If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.“ I am the vine; you are the branches. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, (niv)

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (niv)

From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.“ You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.Simon Peter answered him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”Then Jesus replied,“ Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!”( He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.) (niv)

If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God— good! (niv)

if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. (niv)

As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. (niv)

Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help.
