“ I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world.”

“ I have a lot to say that will judge you. But the one who sent me can be trusted. And I tell the world what I have heard from him.”

I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.”

我不再稱你們為僕人，因為僕人不知道主人所作的事；我已經稱你們為朋友了，因為我從我父那裡聽見的一切，都已經告訴你們了。

當時耶穌在殿裡教導人，大聲說：“你們以為認識我，也知道我從哪裡來，其實我不是憑著自己的意思來的，但那差我來的是真實的，你們卻不認識他。

現在我把從神那裡聽見的真理告訴了你們，你們竟然想殺我，這不是亞伯拉罕所作的。

我知道你們心裡沒有神的愛。我奉我父的名而來，你們不接待我；如果有別人以自己的名義而來，你們倒接待他。

他把所見所聞的見證出來，可是沒有人接受他的見證。那接受他的見證的，就確認神是真的。

“我還有許多事要告訴你們，可是你們現在擔當不了；

耶穌說：“我的教訓不是我自己的，而是出於那差我來的。

因為你賜給我的話，我已經給了他們，他們也領受了，又確實知道我是從你那裡來的，並且信你差了我來。

論到這些事，我們有很多話要說，可是很難解釋；因為你們已經遲鈍了，聽不進去。到這個時候，你們應該已經作老師了；可是你們還需要有人再把神道理的初步教導你們。你們成了只能吃奶而不能吃乾糧的人！

神是信實的，我們向你們所傳的道並不是“是”而又“非”的，

耶穌說：“我到這世上來是為了審判，使那看不見的能夠看見，能看見的反而成了瞎眼的。”有些和耶穌在一起的法利賽人聽了這話，就說：“難道我們也是瞎眼的嗎？”耶穌對他們說：“如果你們是瞎眼的，就沒有罪了；但現在你們說‘我們能看見’，所以你們還是有罪的。”

即使我判斷人，我的判斷也是正確的，因為我不是獨自一人，而是差我來的父和我在一起。你們的律法上也寫著：‘兩個人的見證才是真的。’

人若聽見我的話卻不遵守的，我不審判他，因為我來不是要審判世人，而是要拯救世人。棄絕我又不接受我的話的人，自有審判他的。我所講的道在末日要定他的罪；因為我沒有憑著自己說話，而是差我來的父給了我命令，要我說甚麼，講甚麼。我知道他的命令就是永生。所以，我所講的，正是父吩咐我要我講的。”
