耶稣还在对群众讲话的时候，他的母亲和弟弟站在外面，要找他讲话。

原来连他的弟弟也不信他。

耶稣的母亲和弟弟来到他那里，因为人多，不能到他跟前。

然而，他的弟弟上去过节以后，他也上去过节，不是公开地去，却是暗中地去。

大卫与那些人说话的时候，他的大哥以利押听见了，就向大卫发怒，说：“你为什么下这里来呢？在旷野的那几只羊你托了给谁呢？我知道你的骄傲和你心里的恶意。你下来是要看打仗。”

因为连你的兄弟、你的父家，都以诡诈待你，连他们也在你后面高声喊叫。虽然他们对你说好话，你也不可信他们。”

耶稣的母亲和弟弟来了，站在外面，传话给他，叫他出来。

约瑟作了一个梦，把梦告诉哥哥们，他们就越发恨他。约瑟对他们说：“请听我所作的这个梦：我们正在田间捆麦子，我的麦捆忽然站立起来，你们的麦捆都来围着我的下拜。”他的哥哥们对他说：“你真的要作我们的王吗？真的要管辖我们吗？”他们就为了约瑟的梦和他的话，越发恨他。后来约瑟又作了一个梦，也把梦向哥哥们述说了。他说：“我又作了一个梦，我梦见太阳、月亮和十一颗星向我下拜。”约瑟把梦向他父亲和哥哥们述说了，他父亲就斥责他，说：“你所作的这梦是什么梦呢？我和你母亲，以及你的兄弟，真的要来俯伏在地向你下拜吗？”他哥哥们都嫉妒他，他父亲却把这事记在心里。

来吧，我们把他杀了，丢在一个枯井里，就说有猛兽把他吃了。我们要看看他的梦将来要怎么样。”

他们派了自己的门徒和希律党的人一同去问耶稣：“老师，我们知道你为人诚实，照着真理把神的道教导人，不顾忌任何人，因为你不徇情面。请把你的意见告诉我们，纳税给凯撒，可不可以呢？”

彼得和十一使徒站起来，他高声对众人说：“犹太人和所有住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你们应当明白这件事，也应该留心听我的话。
