And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him,

Jesus answered him,“ I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing.

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.

Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.

Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him,“ See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

‘ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.You shall present a burnt offering, an offering made by fire as a sweet aroma to the Lord: thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year. They shall be without blemish.

“ Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.

‘ On the second day present twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,

‘ On the fourth day present ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year, without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the fifth day present nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the sixth day present eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the seventh day present seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the eighth day you shall have a sacred assembly. You shall do no customary work.You shall present a burnt offering, an offering made by fire as a sweet aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, seven lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ These you shall present to the Lord at your appointed feasts( besides your vowed offerings and your freewill offerings) as your burnt offerings and your grain offerings, as your drink offerings and your peace offerings.’”So Moses told the children of Israel everything, just as the Lord commanded Moses.

In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes,“ Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.

‘ On the third day present eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,“ If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts.‘ The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.‘ The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts.‘ And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
