Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said,“ He is a good man.” Others replied,“ No, he deceives the people.”

There was a lot of grumbling about him among the crowds. Some argued,“ He’s a good man,” but others said,“ He’s nothing but a fraud who deceives the people.”

And there was a lot of murmuring about him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, he’s deceiving the people.”

And there was a great deal of talk about Him in secret among the crowds: some were saying,“ He is a good man”; others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He is misleading the people.”

And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said,“ He is good”; others said,“ No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray.

And there was a lot of discussion about Him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He’s deceiving the people.”

众人听了这话，有些人说：“这个人确实是那位先知！”另有的说：“这个人就是基督。”还有的却说：“难道基督会出自加利利吗？经上不是说，基督是大卫的后裔，是出自大卫的故乡伯利恒吗？”于是众人因耶稣就产生了分裂；

法利赛人中的有些人说：“那个人不是从神那里来的，因为他不守安息日。”有些人却说：“一个罪人怎么能行这样的神迹呢？”他们之间就产生了分裂。

法利赛人说：“难道你们也被迷惑了吗？

法利赛人听到了众人私下议论耶稣的这些事。于是祭司长们和法利赛人就派差役们去抓他。

有些耶路撒冷的人说：“这不是他们想要杀的那个人吗？看，他还在公开讲话，他们也没有对他说什么。难道首领们真的认为这个人就是基督吗？可是，基督出现的时候，没有人会知道他从哪里来；而这个人，我们却很清楚他是从哪里来的。”

做任何事都不要抱怨或争论，

当时，有一个名叫约瑟的人，是犹太议会中的议员，为人公义良善。

就想拘捕他，可是怕民众，因为他们都认为耶稣是先知。

百夫长看见所发生的事，就不住地荣耀神，说：“这个人的确是义人。”

说：“大人，我们想起当那个迷惑人的还活着时曾经说过：‘在第三天我要复活。’

学生能像他的老师一样，奴仆能像他的主人一样，就已经够了。如果人们称一家的主人为‘别西卜’，更何况他的家人呢！

每个人敬畏不已，就不住地荣耀神，说：“我们中间兴起了一位伟大的先知！”又说：“神临到他的子民了！”

耶稣来到凯撒里亚菲利彼地区，就问他的门徒们，说：“人们说人子是谁？”他们回答说：“有的说是施洗者约翰，有的说是以利亚，另有的说是耶利米或是先知中的一位。”耶稣问他们：“那么你们呢？你们说我是谁？”西门彼得回答说：“你是基督，是永生神的儿子！”

好人从他心里所存的善，发出善来；坏人从他心里所存的恶，发出恶来；因为人心里所充满的，口里就说出来。

耶稣对他说：“你为什么称我是良善的呢？除了神一位之外，没有一个是良善的。

——这是因为巴拿巴是个好人，充满圣灵和信仰。于是有一大群人归向了主。

他们回答说：“你也不会是加利利人吧？你去查一查看，先知是不会从加利利兴起的！”

因这些话，犹太人中又产生了分裂。其中有许多人说：“他有鬼魔附身，发疯了！何必听他的呢？”另有些人说：“这些话不是有鬼魔附身的人说的！鬼魔难道能开瞎子的眼睛吗？”

为义人死，是少有的；为好人死，或许有敢做的；

众人看见耶稣所行的神迹，就说：“这个人确实是那位要来到世上的先知！”
