Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves,“ How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

為了這些話、猶太人中又起了分裂。

於是法利賽人中有的說：『這個人不是從上帝來的，因為他不守安息日。』另有人說：『一個有罪的人怎能行這樣的神迹呢？』他們中間就起了分裂。

猶太人因耶穌說：「我是從天上降下來的餅」，就唧唧咕咕地議論他。

尼哥底母回答他說：『怎能有這些事呢？』

他們一聽到死人之復活，有的就譏刺，有的卻說：『關於這事、我們還要再聽你。』

不過屬血氣的人不接受上帝之靈的事；這些事在他看、簡直是愚拙；他也不能知道，因為這是用屬靈的方法來審察的。

尼哥底母對他說：『人已經老了，怎能被生下來呢？難道能第二次進他母腹去生下來麼？』

聽了這些話，羣眾中就有人說：『這個人真是那位神言人哪。』另有人說：『這個人是基督。』有的卻說：『基督哪是出於加利利呢？經上豈不是說：「基督是出於大衛的後裔，大衛所在的村子伯利恆」麼？』因耶穌的緣故、羣眾中就起了分裂。

婦人對耶穌說：『先生，你沒有打水的器具，井又深，你從哪裏有活水呢？
