Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

众人问他说：“我们当行什么才算做神的工呢？”

于是他们问他：“我们该做什么才算是做上帝的工作呢？”

于是他们问他：“我们该做什么才算是做神的工作呢？”

众人问祂：“我们要怎样做，才算是做上帝的工作呢？”

众人又问他：“我们应该作什么，才算是作神的工作呢？”

他们问：“我们应该做什么，才算做神的工作呢？”

眾人問他說：「我們當行甚麼才算做神的工呢？」

於是他們問他：「我們該做甚麼才算是做上帝的工作呢？」

於是他們問他：「我們該做甚麼才算是做神的工作呢？」

眾人問祂：「我們要怎樣做，才算是做上帝的工作呢？」

眾人又問他：“我們應該作甚麼，才算是作神的工作呢？”

於是他們對耶穌說：『我們應當行甚麼、來作上帝的工呢？』

他們問：「我們應該做什麼，才算做神的工作呢？」

眾曰、我儕當何為以作上帝之工乎、

眾曰我儕當何為、以稱上帝之事乎、

眾曰、我當何為、以行天主之事乎、

眾問曰：『如之何始可務天主之務？』

Then they asked him,“ What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Then they asked him,“ What does God want from us? What works does he want us to do?”

Then they said to him,“ What must we do, to be doing the works of God?”

They replied,“ We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?”

“ What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.

Therefore they said to Him,“ What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?”

Then they said to Him,“ What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

They said therefore unto him, What must we do, that we may work the works of God?

“ What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.

So then they said to him,“ What must we do to accomplish the deeds God requires?”

They said therefore to him,“ What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”

Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear[ it], and do[ it].

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord[ said] unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do[ it].

That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard[ you]; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass,[ that] whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare[ it] unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.Whether[ it be] good, or whether[ it be] evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,[ or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn[ for] my transgression, the fruit of my body[ for] the sin of my soul?He hath shewed thee, O man, what[ is] good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Now when they heard[ this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men[ and] brethren, what shall we do?
