耶穌應曰：『予切實語爾、爾等追求於予、非為曾見靈蹟、乃為食餅而飽耳。

Jesus answered,“ Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.

Jesus answered,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. You are not looking for me because you saw the signs I did. You are looking for me because you ate the loaves until you were full.

Jesus answered them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.

Jesus answered,“ Truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.

Jesus answered them and said,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate some of the loaves and were filled.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the solemn truth, you are looking for me not because you saw miraculous signs, but because you ate all the loaves of bread you wanted.

Jesus answered them,“ Most certainly I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.

For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. (niv)

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (niv)

For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. (niv)

Then they believed his promises and sang his praise.But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold.In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wilderness they put God to the test. (niv)

Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. (niv)

their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant. (niv)

My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. (niv)

and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. (niv)

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them moneyand said,“ Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”Peter answered:“ May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick. (niv)

Jesus answered,“ Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. (niv)

Jesus replied,“ Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” (niv)

Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. (niv)

Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus. (niv)

Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. (niv)

Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. (niv)

So they asked him,“ What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? (niv)

Jesus said to them,“ Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. (niv)
