Jesus answered,“ Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.

Jesus answered,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. You are not looking for me because you saw the signs I did. You are looking for me because you ate the loaves until you were full.

Jesus answered them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.

Jesus answered,“ Truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.

Jesus answered them and said,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate some of the loaves and were filled.

因為大家都尋求自己的事，不尋求耶穌基督的事。

你們求也不能得到，是因為你們求的動機不對，為了要花費在自己的私慾上。你們這些淫亂的人哪！難道你們不知道，與世界為友，就是與神為敵嗎？所以，如果有人想要和世界做朋友，他就成了神的仇敵！

因為這樣的人不是服事我們的主基督，而是服事自己的私慾。他們用花言巧語，欺騙單純人的心。

那時他們才相信了他的話，歌唱對他的讚美。但他們很快就忘記了他的作為，也沒有等候他的帶領。他們在曠野中極其貪心，在荒漠中試探神。

他們的結局就是滅亡；他們的神就是自己的私慾；他們的榮耀在自己的羞恥之中；他們所思想的都是地上的事。

他們的心對他不堅定，他們也不忠於他的約。

他在那些理性敗壞、喪失真理、以為敬神是得利之道的人中，引發無休止的爭吵。

西門看見因著使徒們的按手，有聖靈賜下，就拿了錢給他們，說：「請把這權柄也給我，使我按手在誰身上，誰就可以領受聖靈。」彼得對他說：「你的銀子和你一起滅亡吧！因為你以為神的恩賜可以用錢買到！你在這件事上無份無關，因為在神面前你的心不正。

有一大群人，因為看到他在病人身上所行的神蹟，就跟隨他。

耶穌回答：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不是由水和聖靈所生的，就不能進入神的國。

耶穌回答說：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不重生，就不能見神的國。」

耶穌看出他們要來強迫他做王，就又獨自退到山上去了。

這樣，眾人一發現耶穌已經不在那裡，連他的門徒們也不在那裡，就上了船，往迦百農去找耶穌。

「我確確實實地告訴你們：信我的人，就有永恆的生命。

然而你們當中有一些不信的人。」原來，耶穌從起初就知道哪些人不信，也知道哪一個人要出賣他。

他們就問：「那麼，你行個什麼神蹟，好讓我們看了就可以信你呢？你可以做什麼呢？

耶穌說：「我確確實實地告訴你們：如果你們不吃人子的肉，不喝人子的血，你們裡面就沒有生命。
