Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.

信子者有永生、不信子者不見夫生、天主之怒、恆在其上矣、

信之者不定罪、不信之者已定罪、以其不信天主獨生子之名、

天主以永生賜我、而此永生在其子內、此乃其證、信子者原文作有子者則有生命、不信不信原文作無有天主子者、則無生命、○我書此達爾信天主子之名者、使爾知爾有永生、且使爾恆信天主之名、

凡見子而信之者得永生、而於末日我復活之、此乃遣我者之意、

蓋天主愛世、至以獨生子賜之、使凡信之者、免沈淪而得永生、

凡生而信我者、永不死、爾信此否、

我誠告爾、信我者有永生、

是故凡屬基督耶穌、不從肉體而從聖神者、有原文抄本無不從肉體而從聖神句不定罪、

惟載此、使爾信耶穌為天主子基督、既信、則可因其名而得永生、

我儕若愛兄弟、則知己已出死入生、不愛兄弟者、仍在死中、

我誠告爾、人若守我道、則永不死、

我羊聽我聲、我識之、而彼從我、我賜之以永生、永不淪亡、無能奪之於我手、我父以之賜我、父大於萬有、無能奪之於我父之手、我與父為一、

經載云、凡信之者、必不致於羞愧、猶太人、希拉人、悉無區別、同有一主、其洪恩賜凡籲之者、經云、凡籲主名者、必得救、

耶穌呼曰、信我者、非信我、乃信遣我者、

此神與我心、或作此神與我神同證我儕為天主之子、既為子則為嗣、即天主之嗣、與基督同為嗣、我儕若與之同苦、亦必與之同榮、○

蓋天主非預定我儕遭怒、乃預定我儕賴主耶穌基督而得救、

我儕以信賴天主大力、得保守以獲末世所將顯之拯救、

信而領洗者得救、不信者定罪、

誰能訟天主所選者乎、天主稱之為義、誰能罪之乎、基督已死、且已復活、今在天主右、恆為我儕祈禱、

我儕知萬事有益於愛天主者、即循其旨而蒙召也、天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、其所預定者、亦召之、所召者、亦稱之為義、所稱義者、亦榮之、○

主所愛之兄弟、我儕當為爾恆謝天主、因天主自始選爾、得聖神以成聖、及信真道而得救、為此天主亦以我所傳之福音召爾、欲爾得我主耶穌基督之榮、

爾曹賴基督信天主使基督由死復活、且賜之榮光、使爾向天主有信與望、
