And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in[ that] place.

Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

Did not Moses give you the law, and[ yet] none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
