婦曰：『先生盍以此水見賜、令我不復渴、亦無庸頻來汲水。』

信我的人就如經上所說：『從他腹中要流出活水的江河來。』」耶穌這話是指着信他之人要受聖靈說的。那時還沒有賜下聖靈來，因為耶穌尚未得着榮耀。 (cunpt)

不飢不渴，炎熱和烈日必不傷害他們；因為憐恤他們的必引導他們，領他們到水泉旁邊。 (cunpt)

你們既聽見真理的道，就是那叫你們得救的福音，也信了基督，既然信他，就受了所應許的聖靈為印記。這聖靈是我們得基業的憑據，直等到神之民被贖，使他的榮耀得着稱讚。 (cunpt)
