婦曰：『先生既無汲水之具、而井又深、將何從而得活水乎？

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

Jesus answered her,“ You do not know what God’s gift is. And you do not know who is asking you for a drink. If you did, you would have asked him. He would have given you living water.”

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Jesus replied,“ If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”

Jesus answered,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would ask him, and he would give you living water.”

Jesus replied to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Jesus answered and said to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;‘ he will lead them to springs of living water.’‘ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” (niv)

but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (niv)

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,“ Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (niv)

They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. (niv)

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. (niv)

“ My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water. (niv)

He said to me:“ It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. (niv)

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lambdown the middle of the great street of the city. Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”This is what the Lord says— the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel— to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers:“ Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”This is what the Lord says:“ In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, (niv)

“ I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, (niv)

I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.“ So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said,“ Do you believe in the Son of Man?”“ Who is he, sir?” the man asked.“ Tell me so that I may believe in him.”Jesus said,“ You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”Then the man said,“ Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (niv)

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (niv)

You say,‘ I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God— that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. (niv)

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (niv)

They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. (niv)

In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God. (niv)

The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east( for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar.He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep.He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist.He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in— a river that no one could cross.He asked me,“ Son of man, do you see this?” Then he led me back to the bank of the river.When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river.He said to me,“ This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh.Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. (niv)

The Lord told him,“ Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. (niv)

The other events of Manasseh’s reign, including his prayer to his God and the words the seers spoke to him in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, are written in the annals of the kings of Israel.His prayer and how God was moved by his entreaty, as well as all his sins and unfaithfulness, and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and idols before he humbled himself— all these are written in the records of the seers.
