That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

People give birth to people. But the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior,idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions,envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,so that they may walk in My statutes, and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.

How then can mankind be righteous with God? Or how can anyone who is born of woman be pure?

Who can make the clean out of the unclean? No one!

for if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Among them we too all previously lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest.

The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.As is the earthy one, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly one, so also are those who are heavenly.Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.Now I say this, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God.

Create in me a clean heart, God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus.
