On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you!”

On the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were together. They had locked the doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came in and stood among them. He said,“ May peace be with you!”

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”

That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them!“ Peace be with you,” he said.

When it was evening on that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”

Now when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were together due to fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and* said to them,“ Peace be to you.”

Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”

When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

八日後、諸徒仍聚室內、多默與俱、諸戶緊扃。耶穌復進立其中曰：『賜爾平安！』

予以平安遺爾、予以己之平安施於爾等、而予之為施、亦有異乎世之所為矣。毋事忐忑、毋事疑懼；

耶穌復諭之曰：『賜爾平安！正如聖父遣予、予亦遣爾。』

諸徒正共談此事、耶穌倏立其中曰：『錫爾平安！』諸徒駭怖、以為見神。耶穌曰：『何事驚惶？何多疑懼？一視吾手吾足、便知是我；捫也！視也！神無骨肉、爾見我實有之。』言已、出示手足、諸徒驚喜交集、猶恐其非真也。耶穌曰：『爾有食乎？』徒乃授以炙魚一片、蜜窩一方；遂受而當眾食之。耶穌又謂諸徒曰：『曩日與爾同處、予曾明言、摩西律先知書與聖詠中所載予事、悉當應驗。』遂啟其明悟、使領會經旨。復曰：『依諸經所載、基督固當受難、第三日自死者中復活、俾痛悔赦罪之道、得藉其名而傳於世、始自耶路撒冷以達萬邦。爾曹乃諸事之見證也。識之哉！予將以吾父所許者、遣發於爾矣。惟爾曹宜暫留京中、靜候自天賦與之德能。』

惟無人敢公然論之、以畏猶太人故。

復活後見於基法、又見於十二徒，

予以此語爾、俾爾因予而得平安。爾在人世、固有患難、惟勿因是而餒、予已克勝人世矣。』

若望致書於亞西亞七教會曰：伏願古今未來永生天主、寶座前之七神、

沐浴芳澤兮。酣暢春風。諦聽聖言兮。其馨若蘭。主願與子民言歸於好兮。苟若輩不再陷於冥頑。但能小心翼翼以事主兮。應證救恩之實邇。行見光榮之重臨兮。盤桓乎吾地。

蓋有二三人因我名而會集者、予亦在其中焉。』

蓋基督者、吾人之協和也；身受苦難、以去壁壘之隔、

亞伯漢乃就其所有、什一以貢焉。其名為麥基德者、其意為正義之王也。其稱瑟琳之王、猶言和平之王也。

是故爾目前雖感憂苦、迨予重復見爾、則爾必欣然而樂、爾心之樂、人莫奪焉。

但願平安之主與爾眾偕、心焉祝之。

伏願天主我等父、及主耶穌基督、降爾恩寵、錫爾平安。

伏願天主聖父及主耶穌基督、賜兄弟平安、及信德愛德、為頌無量。

願和平之主、隨時隨處、親賜爾等平安。願主與爾等俱。

後十一徒同席而食、耶穌又顯現、痛責其信德之薄弱、及心靈之冥頑、以其未信復活後之見證也。

瞬息之間、世將不復見予、爾獨見予。蓋予永生、爾亦因以有生焉。是日既臨、爾等必知予之在父、爾之在予、而予之在爾矣。凡懷予之誡而踐履之者、斯為愛予之人、愛予者、必見愛於吾父、予亦愛之、且願自顯於若人。』樹德（非茹答斯依斯加略）問曰：『主將何以自顯於吾儕、而不顯於世人乎？』耶穌曰：『人若愛予、必守吾訓、則吾父必愛之、且將偕予同就若人、而以之為安宅。

若其家堪當所祝、則爾之平安臨之；若不堪當、則爾之平安仍返乎爾。
