去報告的是抹大拉的馬利亞、和約亞拿、跟雅各的母親馬利亞和其餘同她們在一起的婦女。以上女人將這些事對使徒們說。

耶穌就對她們說：『別懼怕了！去報告我的弟兄，叫他們往加利利去；在那裏他們可以看見我。』

那女人去報告向來跟耶穌在一起的人；他們正在哀慟哭泣；那些人聽見耶穌活着、並且給她看了，卻取了不信的態度。這些事以後，他們中間有兩個人往鄉下去；走路的時候、耶穌用別樣的形質向他們顯現。他們去報告其餘的人；那些人也不信。

並且我們中間有幾個婦女、也真地使我們驚奇；她們清早在墳墓那裏；見不着耶穌的身體，就來，說她們竟看見了天使的顯象；天使說耶穌還活着。

安息週的第一日清早、天還黑的時候、抹大拉的馬利亞上墳墓來，看見石頭從墳墓挪開了。
