耶稣进入圣殿赶走里面做买卖的人，并对他们说：“圣经上说，‘我的殿要成为祷告的殿’，你们竟把它变成了贼窝。”

他们来到耶路撒冷后，耶稣进入圣殿，赶走了里面做买卖的人，推翻了兑换钱币之人的桌子和卖鸽子之人的凳子，

要在你们的上帝耶和华选定的敬拜场所，在祂面前吃所献的十分之一的谷物、新酒、油以及头生的牛羊。这是为了让你们学习一生敬畏你们的上帝耶和华。如果你们的上帝耶和华赐福你们，使你们丰收，而你们住的地方离祂选定的敬拜场所太远，以致不能把收成的十分之一送去，就可以把那些收成换成银钱带去。在那里，你们可以随意买牛、羊、淡酒或烈酒，然后一家人在你们的上帝耶和华面前吃喝快乐。

祂教导他们说：“圣经上不是记载‘我的殿必称为万民祷告的殿’吗？你们竟把它变成了贼窝。”

万军之耶和华说：“我要差遣我的使者为我开路。你们所寻求的主必突然来到祂的殿中。你们所期盼的那位立约的使者快要来了！”然而，祂来临的日子，谁能承受得了呢？祂出现的时候，谁能站立得住呢？因为祂像炼金之火，又像漂白衣裳的碱。祂要坐下来，像炼净银子的人那样洁净利未的子孙，像熬炼金银一样熬炼他们，使他们凭公义向耶和华献祭。
