Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away.

Later Joseph asked Pilate for Jesus’ body. Joseph was from the town of Arimathea. He was a follower of Jesus. But he followed Jesus secretly because he was afraid of the Jewish leaders. After Pilate gave him permission, Joseph came and took the body away.

After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body.

有一位名叫约瑟的公会议员心地善良、为人正直，住在犹太地区的亚利马太城，一直在等候上帝国的降临。他并不苟同公会的决定。他去求见彼拉多，要求领取耶稣的遗体。他把耶稣的遗体从十字架上取下来，用细麻布裹好，然后安放在一个从岩壁上凿出的新墓穴里。当天是预备日，安息日快到了。和耶稣一起从加利利来的妇女跟在约瑟后面，看到了耶稣的坟墓，并且看到祂的遗体被安放好之后，便回家去预备香料和膏油。安息日到了，她们按律法的规定休息了一天。

傍晚，从亚利马太来了一位名叫约瑟的富人，他是耶稣的门徒。他去求见彼拉多，要求领取耶稣的遗体，彼拉多就下令把耶稣的遗体交给他。约瑟领了遗体，用干净的细麻布裹好，安放在他为自己在岩壁上凿出的新墓穴里，并滚来一块大石头封闭墓穴的入口，然后离去。那时，抹大拉的玛丽亚和另一个玛丽亚坐在坟墓的对面。

大多数主内的弟兄姊妹看见我为主被囚，信心受到鼓舞，更加放胆无惧地传扬上帝的道。

那天是犹太人的预备日，也就是安息日的前一天。傍晚，亚利马太人约瑟鼓起勇气去见彼拉多，要求领取耶稣的遗体。他是一位德高望重的公会议员，一位等候上帝国降临的人。彼拉多听见耶稣已经死了，十分惊讶，便把百夫长召来问个明白，得知耶稣确实已死，便将耶稣的遗体交给约瑟。约瑟把耶稣的遗体取下来，用买来的细麻布裹好，安放在一个在岩壁上凿出的墓穴里，又滚来一块大石头堵住洞口。抹大拉的玛丽亚和约西的母亲玛丽亚都亲眼看到了安葬耶稣的地方。

不过，没有人敢公开议论祂的事，因为害怕犹太人。

虽然这样，仍有很多犹太的官员信了耶稣，只是在法利赛人面前不敢公开承认，因为害怕会被赶出会堂。

他父母因为害怕那些犹太人，所以才这样说，因为那些犹太人早就商量好了，谁承认耶稣是基督，就把他赶出会堂。

惧怕人的必自陷网罗，信靠耶和华的必安稳。
