Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull( which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).

And when they led Him away, they seized a man, Simon of Cyrene, as he was coming in from the country, and placed on him the cross to carry behind Jesus.

Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their cloaks at the feet of a young man named Saul.

For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the Holy Place by the high priest as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp.Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood.So then, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read,“ THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

Then Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the wrongdoings of the sons of Israel and all their unlawful acts regarding all their sins; and he shall place them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who stands ready.Then the goat shall carry on itself all their wrongdoings to an isolated territory; he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ The man must be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

And they* compelled a passer by coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene( the father of Alexander and Rufus), to carry His cross.Then they* brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull.And they tried to give Him wine mixed with myrrh; but He did not take it.

Now there was also an inscription above Him,“ THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Looking at him, Jesus showed love to him and said to him,“ One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

The inscription of the charge against Him read,“ THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

And He was saying to them all,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

“ Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have all the congregation stone him.

And after they had mocked Him, they took the cloak off Him and put His own garments back on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.As they were coming out, they found a man of Cyrene named Simon, whom they compelled to carry His cross.And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a Skull,they gave Him wine mixed with bile to drink; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink it.

Then the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him; and the worthless men testified against him, against Naboth, before the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

Let this Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him.
