Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. (niv)

But I said,“ Should a man like me run away? Or should someone like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!” (niv)

As surely as the Lord your God lives, there is not a nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to look for you. And whenever a nation or kingdom claimed you were not there, he made them swear they could not find you. (niv)

For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. (niv)

When they came together in Galilee, he said to them,“ The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.” And the disciples were filled with grief. (niv)

“ We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to deathand will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!” (niv)

And while they were eating, he said,“ Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.” (niv)

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. (niv)

“ We are going up to Jerusalem,” he said,“ and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles,who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.” (niv)

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them,“ We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him;they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.” (niv)

Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said,“ I am thirsty.” (niv)

“ As you know, the Passover is two days away— and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.” (niv)

The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life— only to take it up again.No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” (niv)

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. (niv)

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. (niv)

Then Jesus told them,“ This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:“‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ (niv)

He said to them,“ This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” (niv)

“ And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. (niv)

And now you tell me to go to my master and say,‘ Elijah is here.’ He will kill me!”Elijah said,“ As the Lord Almighty lives, whom I serve, I will surely present myself to Ahab today.”So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him, and Ahab went to meet Elijah.When he saw Elijah, he said to him,“ Is that you, you troubler of Israel?”“ I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied.“ But you and your father’s family have. You have abandoned the Lord’s commands and have followed the Baals. (niv)
