Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. (niv)

How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? (niv)

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that“ There is no God but one.” (niv)
