Jesus therefore said to them,“ Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn’t overtake you. He who walks in the darkness doesn’t know where he is going.

耶穌曰、片時光尚偕爾、乘有光當行、恐暗忽臨、行於暗者、不知所往、

耶穌曰：『光處爾曹之中、尚有片時、及爾有光、爾當勉行、毋使暗冥襲爾、行於黑暗中者、不自知其所往、

Then Jesus told them,“ You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

Jesus replied,“ My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going.

Jesus answered,“ The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.

So Jesus said to them,“ For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; also, the one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.

Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

Give glory to Yahweh your God, before he causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it deep darkness.But if you will not hear it, my soul will weep in secret for your pride. My eye will weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because Yahweh’s flock has been taken captive.

But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn’t in him.”

If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don’t tell the truth.But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Then Jesus said,“ I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.

While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light.” Jesus said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.

You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

“ I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness. I will hold your hand. I will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations,to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.

House of Jacob, come, and let’s walk in the light of Yahweh.

For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again,“ He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John.The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him.He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light.The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

What then? That which Israel seeks for, that he didn’t obtain, but the chosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened.According as it is written,“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.”David says,“ Let their table be made a snare, a trap, a stumbling block, and a retribution to them.Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see. Always keep their backs bent.”

But their minds were hardened, for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, because in Christ it passes away.

Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap.Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent.Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents.For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness.Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.

The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.Let’s walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

Therefore he says,“ Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

The way of the wicked is like darkness. They don’t know what they stumble over.

Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says,“ Today if you will hear his voice,don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
