Why are you bothering her? She has done a noble thing for me.You always have the poor with you, and you can do what is good for them whenever you want, but you do not always have me.She has done what she could; she has anointed my body in advance for burial.

Now a man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

The dead man came out bound hand and foot with linen strips and with his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them,“ Unwrap him and let him go.”

While Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,a woman approached him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume. She poured it on his head as he was reclining at the table.When the disciples saw it, they were indignant.“ Why this waste?” they asked.“ This might have been sold for a great deal and given to the poor.”Aware of this, Jesus said to them,“ Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a noble thing for me.You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.

He went into Jerusalem and into the temple. After looking around at everything, since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

Now some Greeks were among those who went up to worship at the festival.
