门徒说：“拉比，犹太人近来要拿石头打你，你还往那里去吗？”

门徒对他说：“拉比，犹太人近来要拿石头打你，你还再到那里去吗？”

门徒对他说：“拉比，犹太人近来要拿石头打你，你还再到那里去吗？”

门徒说：“老师，犹太人近来想拿石头打你，你还要去那里吗？”

门徒对他说：“拉比，近来犹太人要拿石头打你，你还到那里去吗？”

门徒们说：“拉比，近来犹太人想用石头砸死你，你还再到那里去吗？”

門徒說：「拉比，猶太人近來要拿石頭打你，你還往那裏去嗎？」

門徒對他說：「拉比，猶太人近來要拿石頭打你，你還再到那裏去嗎？」

門徒對他說：「拉比，猶太人近來要拿石頭打你，你還再到那裏去嗎？」

門徒說：「老師，猶太人近來想拿石頭打你，你還要去那裡嗎？」

門徒對他說：“拉比，近來猶太人要拿石頭打你，你還到那裡去嗎？”

門徒對他說：『老師，近今來猶太人正想法子要用石頭打你呢。你再往那裏去麼？』

門徒們說：「拉比，近來猶太人想用石頭砸死你，你還再到那裡去嗎？」

門徒曰、夫子、猶太人方欲以石擊爾、爾尚復往乎、

門徒曰、夫子、曩猶太人欲石擊爾、爾尚復往乎、

門徒曰、拉比、猶太人近欲以石擊爾、爾復欲往彼乎、

徒曰：『猶太人正欲以石磔爾、夫子乃欲再往何也？』

“ But Rabbi,” they said,“ a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”

“ But Rabbi,” they said,“ a short time ago the Jews there tried to kill you with stones. Are you still going back?”

The disciples said to him,“ Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?”

But his disciples objected.“ Rabbi,” they said,“ only a few days ago the people in Judea were trying to stone you. Are you going there again?”

“ Rabbi,” the disciples told him,“ just now the Jews tried to stone you, and you’re going there again?”

The disciples* said to Him,“ Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone You, and yet You are going there again?”

The disciples said to Him,“ Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?”

The disciples say unto him, Rabbi, the Jews were but now seeking to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

“ Rabbi,” the disciples told Him,“ just now the Jews tried to stone You, and You’re going there again?”

[ His] disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

The disciples replied,“ Rabbi, the Jewish leaders were just now trying to stone you to death! Are you going there again?”

The disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you. Are you going there again?”

Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, (niv)

At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds. (niv)

Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. (niv)

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.“ Never, Lord!” he said.“ This shall never happen to you!”Jesus turned and said to Peter,“ Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” (niv)

In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me:“ Flee like a bird to your mountain.For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (niv)

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me— the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. (niv)

they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called‘ Rabbi’ by others. (niv)

When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.Then Paul answered,“ Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” (niv)
