Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth.But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Because of our God’s tender mercy the dawn will break upon us from on highto give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Jesus replied,“ I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says:“ Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies,

Jesus replied,“ The light is with you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light,and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.”

a light, for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

“ I, the LORD, officially commission you; I take hold of your hand. I protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, and a light to the nations,to open blind eyes, to release prisoners from dungeons, those who live in darkness from prisons.

When Christ( who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.

He himself was not the light, but he came to testify about the light.The true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

that the Christ was to suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, to proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!”

I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.

So also it is written,“ The first man, Adam, became a living person”; the last Adam became a life- giving spirit.

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes.

For the LORD God is our sovereign protector. The LORD bestows favor and honor; he withholds no good thing from those who have integrity.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life– water as clear as crystal– pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication will rise with healing wings, and you will skip about like calves released from the stall.

Tell those who panic,“ Be strong! Do not fear! Look, your God comes to avenge! With divine retribution he comes to deliver you.”Then blind eyes will open, deaf ears will hear.

O God, you have rejected us. You suddenly turned on us in your anger. Please restore us!You made the earth quake; you split it open. Repair its breaches, for it is ready to fall.You have made your people experience hard times; you have made us drink intoxicating wine.

They trust in their wealth and boast in their great riches.
