Jesus told him,“ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Now we know that whatever the law says speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.For no one will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.But now, apart from the law, God’s righteousness has been revealed— attested by the Law and the Prophets— that is, God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction.For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.They are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.God presented Him as a propitiation through faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His restraint God passed over the sins previously committed.God presented Him to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be righteous and declare righteous the one who has faith in Jesus.

According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

The law came along to multiply the trespass. But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even moreso that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness, resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to look directly at Moses’ face because of the glory from his face— a fading glory—how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with even more glory.In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it.

The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Didn’t Moses give you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law! Why do you want to kill Me?”

After arranging a day with him, many came to him at his lodging. From dawn to dusk he expounded and witnessed about the kingdom of God. He tried to persuade them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written: Everyone who does not continue doing everything written in the book of the law is cursed.Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith.But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.

And all the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring because you have obeyed My command.”

Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.But Christ was faithful as a Son over His household. And we are that household if we hold on to the courage and the confidence of our hope.

But finding fault with His people, He says: Look, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by their hands to lead them out of the land of Egypt. I disregarded them, says the Lord, because they did not continue in My covenant.But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.And each person will not teach his fellow citizen, and each his brother, saying,“ Know the Lord,” because they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them.For I will be merciful to their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.

For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.Therefore, as He was coming into the world, He said: You did not want sacrifice and offering, but You prepared a body for Me.You did not delight in whole burnt offerings and sin offerings.Then I said,“ See— it is written about Me in the volume of the scroll— I have come to do Your will, God!”After He says above, You did not want or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings( which are offered according to the law),He then says, See, I have come to do Your will. He takes away the first to establish the second.By this will of God, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

When He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the saints.And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slaughtered, and You redeemed people for God by Your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation.You made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.

And I say this: The law, which came 430 years later, does not revoke a covenant that was previously ratified by God and cancel the promise.

Moses summoned all Israel and said to them,“ Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances I am proclaiming as you hear them today. Learn and follow them carefully.

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and provided redemption for His people.He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David,just as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets in ancient times;salvation from our enemies and from the clutches of those who hate us.He has dealt mercifully with our fathers and remembered His holy covenant—the oath that He swore to our father Abraham. He has given us the privilege,since we have been rescued from our enemies’ clutches, to serve Him without fearin holiness and righteousness in His presence all our days.And child, you will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways,to give His people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the Dawn from on high will visit usto shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,and so that Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles, and I will sing psalms to Your name.Again it says: Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people!And again: Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; all the peoples should praise Him!And again, Isaiah says: The root of Jesse will appear, the One who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in Him.

He is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors. He received living oracles to give to us.

After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands.And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!All the angels stood around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures, and they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,saying: Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen.Then one of the elders asked me,“ Who are these people robed in white, and where did they come from?”I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His sanctuary. The One seated on the throne will shelter them:They will no longer hunger; they will no longer thirst; the sun will no longer strike them, nor will any heat.For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; He will guide them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

He has helped His servant Israel, mindful of His mercy,just as He spoke to our ancestors, to Abraham and his descendants forever.

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But this man— we don’t know where He’s from!”

I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.

For every one of God’s promises is“ Yes” in Him. Therefore, the“ Amen” is also spoken through Him by us for God’s glory.

He has remembered His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen our God’s victory.

I will sing about the Lord’s faithful love forever; I will proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations with my mouth.For I will declare,“ Faithful love is built up forever; You establish Your faithfulness in the heavens.”

You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers from days long ago.

All these were approved through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised,since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.

Since He raised Him from the dead, never to return to decay, He has spoken in this way, I will grant you the faithful covenant blessings made to David.Therefore He also says in another passage, You will not allow Your Holy One to see decay.For David, after serving his own generation in God’s plan, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and decayed.But the One God raised up did not decay.Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,and everyone who believes in Him is justified from everything that you could not be justified through the law of Moses.

Faithful love and truth will join together; righteousness and peace will embrace.

Moses gave us instruction, a possession for the assembly of Jacob.

Then God spoke all these words:I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.Do not have other gods besides Me.Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ sin, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands.Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses His name.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy:You are to labor six days and do all your work,but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You must not do any work— you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates.For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.Do not murder.Do not commit adultery.Do not steal.Do not give false testimony against your neighbor.Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

This is the law Moses gave the Israelites.
