children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

To be a child of God has nothing to do with human parents. Children of God are not born because of human choice or because a husband wants them to be born. They are born because of what God does.

They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.And the servant abideth not in the house for ever:[ but] the Son abideth ever.If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father,[ even] God.

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:Who are Israelites; to whom[ pertaineth] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service[ of God], and the promises;Whose[ are] the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ[ came], who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to[ our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If[ it be] so, why[ am] I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

Thy people[ shall be] willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where[ is] he that hath taken venison, and brought[ it] me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea,[ and] he shall be blessed.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of[ his] venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring[ it] to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.
