萬有之主耶和華又曰、我將何以處我民、必煆煉之而後可。

故萬有之主如是云、我民若此、我何以處之乎、必陶鎔之、試鍊之、

Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says:“ See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?

So the Lord who rules over all says,“ I will put them through the fire to test them. What else can I do? My people are so sinful!

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Behold, I will refine them and test them, for what else can I do, because of my people?

Therefore, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:“ See, I will melt them down in a crucible and test them like metal. What else can I do with my people?

Therefore, this is what the LORD of Armies says: I am about to refine them and test them, for what else can I do because of my dear people?

Therefore this is what the Lord of armies says:“ Behold, I will refine them and put them to the test; For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people?

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Behold, I will refine them and try them; For how shall I deal with the daughter of My people?

Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how else should I do, because of the daughter of my people?

Therefore, this is what the Lord of Hosts says: I am about to refine them and test them, for what else can I do because of My dear people?

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?

Therefore the LORD who rules over all says,“ I will now purify them in the fires of affliction and test them. The wickedness of my dear people has left me no choice. What else can I do?

Therefore Yahweh of Armies says,“ Behold, I will melt them and test them; for how should I deal with the daughter of my people?

I will turn my hand against you; I will thoroughly purge away your dross and remove all your impurities. (niv)

He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, (niv)

“ I have made you a tester of metals and my people the ore, that you may observe and test their ways. (niv)

This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say,‘ They are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The Lord is our God.’” (niv)

See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. (niv)

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. (niv)

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused.I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I devastate Ephraim again. For I am God, and not a man— the Holy One among you. I will not come against their cities. (niv)

These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith— of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (niv)

“ Son of man, the people of Israel have become dross to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace. They are but the dross of silver.Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:‘ Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into Jerusalem.As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are gathered into a furnace to be melted with a fiery blast, so will I gather you in my anger and my wrath and put you inside the city and melt you.I will gather you and I will blow on you with my fiery wrath, and you will be melted inside her.As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted inside her, and you will know that I the Lord have poured out my wrath on you.’” (niv)

The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out.They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.” (niv)

The hooves of his horses will trample all your streets; he will kill your people with the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground.They will plunder your wealth and loot your merchandise; they will break down your walls and demolish your fine houses and throw your stones, timber and rubble into the sea. (niv)

The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. (niv)

“ What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears.Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth— then my judgments go forth like the sun. (niv)

Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Then the angel who was speaking to me said,“ Proclaim this word: This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion,and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’“ Therefore this is what the Lord says:‘ I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty. (niv)
