你们怎可以说：“我们是智慧人，我们有耶和华的律法”呢？事实上，经学家虚假的笔已把律法变成谎言了。

『你們怎能說：「我們有智慧，永恆主的指教在我們兜裏」呢？其實、你看，經學士虛假之筆舞弄着虛假呢！

爾曹奚曰、我乃智者、耶和華之法律在於我中、然文士虛偽之筆、使法律為虛偽、

奚必自誇為智、得耶和華之律例、繕寫舛謬、盡成偽例。

爾豈可自誇曰、我儕有智慧、主之律法為我所有、作律法徒然矣、繕寫律法徒然矣、

“‘ How can you say,“ We are wise, for we have the law of the Lord,” when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?

“‘ “How can you people say,‘ We are wise. We have the law of the Lord’? Actually, the teachers of the law have told lies about it. Their pens have not written what is true.

“ How can you say,‘ We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie.

“‘ How can you say,“ We are wise because we have the word of the Lord,” when your teachers have twisted it by writing lies?

“ How can you claim,‘ We are wise; the law of the LORD is with us’? In fact, the lying pen of scribes has produced falsehood.

“ How can you say,‘ We are wise, And the Law of the Lord is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes Has made it into a lie.

“ How can you say,‘ We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.

How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Jehovah is with us? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes hath wrought falsely.

“ How can you claim,‘ We are wise; the law of the Lord is with us’? In fact, the lying pen of scribes has produced falsehood.

How do ye say, We[ are] wise, and the law of the LORD[ is] with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he[ it]; the pen of the scribes[ is] in vain.

How can you say,“ We are wise! We have the law of the LORD”? The truth is, those who teach it have used their writings to make it say what it does not really mean.

“‘ How do you say,“ We are wise, and Yahweh’s law is with us?” But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsely.

制定不义律例、起草不公法令的人啊，你们有祸了！你们冤枉穷人，夺去我子民中困苦者的权利，掳掠寡妇，抢劫孤儿。

耶稣说：“如果你们是瞎眼的，就没有罪了。但现在你们自称看得见，所以你们的罪还在。”

祂挫败狡猾人的阴谋，使他们无法得逞。祂使智者中了自己的诡计，使奸徒的计谋迅速落空。

祂夺去智者的口才，祂拿走长者的洞见。

他们自以为聪明，其实愚不可及，

他就不必供养父母。’你们这是用传统来废掉上帝的诫命。

你们不要自欺。如果你们有人自以为在世上有智慧，他应当变成愚人，好成为真正的智者。因为这世上的智慧在上帝的眼中都是愚昧的，正如圣经上说：“上帝使智者中了自己的诡计。”又说：“主知道智者的思想虚妄。”

子孙是老人的华冠，父母是儿女的荣耀。

祂将自己的话传于雅各，将自己的律例和法令指示以色列。

我为他写下千万条的律法，他却视若无睹。

你自称是犹太人，倚仗上帝所赐的律法，自夸与上帝有特别的关系；你受过律法的教导，知道上帝的旨意，能明辨是非；你自信可以做盲人的向导、黑暗中的人的光、愚昧人的师傅、小孩子的老师，因为你从律法中得到了知识和真理。那么，你这教导别人的，为什么不教导自己呢？你教导人不可偷盗，自己却偷盗吗？你告诉他人不可通奸，自己却通奸吗？你憎恶偶像，自己却去偷庙里的东西吗？你以律法自夸，自己却违犯律法羞辱上帝吗？正如圣经上说：“因你们的缘故，上帝的名在外族人中受到亵渎！”如果你遵行律法，割礼才有价值；如果你违犯律法，受了割礼也如同未受割礼。如果未受割礼的人遵行律法的教导，他岂不算是受了割礼吗？身体未受割礼却遵行律法的人，必审判你这有律法条文、受了割礼却违犯律法的人。因为徒具外表的犹太人不是真正的犹太人，身体上的割礼也不是真正的割礼。唯有从心里做犹太人的才是真犹太人，真割礼是借着圣灵在心里受的割礼，不在于律法条文。这样的人得到的称赞不是从人来的，而是从上帝来的。

愚蠢人若能变得聪明，野驴驹也可生成人样。
