My heart is crushed because my dear people are being crushed. I go about crying and grieving. I am overwhelmed with dismay.

爾以斯言告民曰、我耶利米目流淚、晝夜不息、緣我民大受折損、其傷甚重、

因此因此或作在其前民俱悚惶、眾面變色、

尼尼微邑全然空虛、變為荒邱、居民膽怯、兩膝戰慄、彼此相擊、諸腰痛楚、諸面變色、

耶路撒冷眾女乎、我顏雖黑、容仍秀美、雖如基達之幕、仍似所羅門之幔、我受日暴、色雖微黑、毋藐視我、昔同母之兄弟怒我、使我守葡萄園、我之葡萄園、反不得守、

耶利米曰、我之腑臟、我之腑臟、我心甚痛、心腸哀鳴、不能緘默、蓋我已聞角聲、戰爭喧呼、

願我首為水、我目為淚之源、則我為我民中被戮者、晝夜哭泣不止、

我賴基督、言真而不誑、我內心感於聖神、為我作證、我有大憂、痛心不已、蓋我為我兄弟骨肉之親、即見絕於基督、亦所願也、

因在彼處擄掠我者、欲我歌唱、欺凌我者、欲我唱喜歌、云、爾且以郇城之歌、為我唱之、我儕在異邦、安能唱主之歌、耶路撒冷乎、我若忘爾、願我右手忘失技能、我若不記念耶路撒冷、我若不以耶路撒冷為我最喜愛者、願我之舌、貼於上腭、

既近見城、為之哭曰、

我未速棄牧者之職不從主、或作我從主為民之牧斯職不敢速棄民遭患難之日、非我所願、此主所知、我口所出之言、存於主前、

奏王曰、願王萬歲、我列祖墳墓所在之邑、迄今荒蕪、邑門被燬、臣能面無憂色乎、
