我儕靜坐何為乎、其會集而入鞏固之邑、隕亡於彼、我上帝耶和華飲我以毒水、使我隕亡、緣我干犯耶和華也、

先知告民曰、我儕坐此曷故、必會眾入城、在彼默默無語、我獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、使我嘗膽、無詞可述。

Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the Lord our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

Why are we sitting here? Let’s gather together! Let’s run to the cities that have high walls around them! Let’s die there! The Lord our God has sentenced us to death. He has given us poisoned water to drink. That’s because we’ve sinned against him.

“ Then the people will say,‘ Why should we wait here to die? Come, let’s go to the fortified towns and die there. For the Lord our God has decreed our destruction and has given us a cup of poison to drink because we sinned against the Lord.

The people say,“ Why are we just sitting here? Let us gather together inside the fortified cities. Let us at least die there fighting, since the LORD our God has condemned us to die. He has condemned us to drink the poison waters of judgment because we have sinned against him.

“ Why do we sit still? Assemble yourselves! Let’s enter into the fortified cities, and let’s be silent there; for Yahweh our God has put us to silence, and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against Yahweh.

大卫对亚比筛说：“现在比基利的儿子示巴要加害我们，比押沙龙更甚。你要带着你主人的仆人去追赶他，免得他找到了设防的城镇，就避过我们的眼目，从我们的手中逃脱了。”

他们在我的食物中加上苦胆，我渴了，他们把醋给我喝。

他们把苦胆调和的酒给他喝，他尝了却不肯喝。

恐怕你们中间有男人或女人，家族或支派，今日心里偏离了耶和华我们的神，去事奉那些国的神，又恐怕你们中间有恶根，生出毒草和苦堇来；

“你们应当在犹大宣告，在耶路撒冷传扬，说：‘要在境内吹号。’高声呼叫，说：‘你们要集合起来，我们要进到坚固的城里去！’要向锡安竖起旗号，赶快逃命，不可停留，因为我必使灾祸与严重的毁灭，从北方而来。”

死者的亲属和殓葬的人把尸体从房子抬走，并问那躲在屋内深处的人：“还有人吗？”那人回答：“没有，不要再说话，不可再提耶和华的名。”

于是摩西对亚伦说：“这就是耶和华曾经告诉我们的，他说：‘在亲近我的人中，我要显为圣，在众人面前，我要得荣耀。’”亚伦就默然无语。

全人类都当在耶和华面前肃静，因为他从自己圣洁的居所被激动起来了。

人在幼年时就负轭，是多么的美好！他要无言独坐，因为这是耶和华加在他身上的。

我静默不出声，甚至连好话也不说（“甚至连好话也不说”或译：“我安静也得不到安慰”），我的痛苦就更加剧烈。

然而耶和华在他的圣殿里，全地当在他面前肃静。

耶和华啊！我们承认我们的罪恶，和我们列祖的罪孽；我们实在得罪了你。

祭司要使那妇人站在耶和华面前，松开她的头发，把思念的素祭，就是疑忌的素祭，放在她的手中，祭司的手里要拿着使人招致咒诅的苦水。祭司要叫那妇人起誓，对她说：‘如果没有人与你同寝，作妻子时没有背弃丈夫被人玷污，你就免受这使人招致咒诅的苦水。但是，如果你作妻子时背弃了丈夫，被人玷污了；如果你在你的丈夫以外，曾与别的男人同寝’，这样，祭司就要叫那妇人发咒起誓，继续对她说：‘耶和华要使你的大腿消瘦，肚腹肿胀；愿耶和华叫你在你的族人中成为咒诅和起誓的话柄；愿这招致咒诅的水进入你的腹中，使你的肚腹肿胀，大腿消瘦。’那妇人要说：‘阿们、阿们。’“祭司要把这些咒诅的话写在卷上，又把所写的字洗在苦水里，又要叫那妇人喝这招致咒诅的苦水，这招致咒诅的水要进入她里面，就引起痛苦。

因为他们的葡萄树，是所多玛的葡萄树所出的，是蛾摩拉的田地所生的；他们的葡萄是毒葡萄，每一挂都是苦的。

有四个痲风病人在城门口那里，他们彼此说：“我们为什么坐在这里等死呢？我们如果说：‘我们进城去吧！’城里正有饥荒，我们就要死在那里。我们如果坐在这里，也是要死。现在，让我们去投降亚兰人的军队吧；如果他们饶我们一命，我们就可以活着；如果他们要杀死我们，我们就死吧。”
