我儕靜坐何為乎、其會集而入鞏固之邑、隕亡於彼、我上帝耶和華飲我以毒水、使我隕亡、緣我干犯耶和華也、

先知告民曰、我儕坐此曷故、必會眾入城、在彼默默無語、我獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、使我嘗膽、無詞可述。

Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the Lord our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

Why are we sitting here? Let’s gather together! Let’s run to the cities that have high walls around them! Let’s die there! The Lord our God has sentenced us to death. He has given us poisoned water to drink. That’s because we’ve sinned against him.

“ Then the people will say,‘ Why should we wait here to die? Come, let’s go to the fortified towns and die there. For the Lord our God has decreed our destruction and has given us a cup of poison to drink because we sinned against the Lord.

The people say,“ Why are we just sitting here? Let us gather together inside the fortified cities. Let us at least die there fighting, since the LORD our God has condemned us to die. He has condemned us to drink the poison waters of judgment because we have sinned against him.

“ Why do we sit still? Assemble yourselves! Let’s enter into the fortified cities, and let’s be silent there; for Yahweh our God has put us to silence, and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against Yahweh.

大衛對亞比篩說：「現在比基利的兒子示巴對我們帶來的危害恐怕比押沙龍還要大。你帶領我的部下去捉拿他，免得他佔據了堅固的城池，得以逃脫。」

他們給我苦膽當食物，又拿醋給我解渴。

士兵給耶穌喝摻了苦膽汁的酒，祂嚐了一口，不肯喝。

你們中間，不論男人或女人，家族或支派，切不可有人背棄我們的上帝耶和華，去祭拜列國的神明，免得你們中間有殘根長出苦毒的果實，

「你們要在猶大和耶路撒冷宣告，『要在全國吹起號角』，高聲呼喊，『要集合起來，我們要逃進堅城。』你們要向錫安舉起旗幟，趕快逃亡，不要遲延，因為我要從北方降下災禍，大肆毀滅。」

親屬抬出屍體焚燒時，必問內屋的人：「你那裡還有別人嗎？」那人必回答：「沒有。」問的人必說：「不要作聲，我們不可提耶和華的名。」

摩西告訴亞倫：「耶和華曾說過，『我要在事奉我的人中顯明我的聖潔，在所有子民面前彰顯我的榮耀。』」亞倫默默無言。

世人都當在耶和華面前肅靜，因為祂要從聖所起來了。

年輕時負軛受苦是有益的。受耶和華管教時，要默然獨坐。

然而，我默不作聲，連好話也不出口時，內心就更加痛苦。

但耶和華住在祂的聖殿中，世人都要在祂面前肅靜。」

耶和華啊，我們承認自己和我們祖先的罪，我們都得罪了你。

然後讓那婦人站在耶和華面前，解開她的頭髮，把那素祭放在她手裡。祭司要拿著帶給罪人咒詛的苦水，叫她發誓。祭司要對她說，『如果你沒有出軌，沒有背著丈夫與人通姦，就不會被這苦水所害。如果你曾出軌，背著丈夫與人通姦，你喝下這苦水後，願耶和華使你大腿消瘦、肚腹腫脹、不能生育，使你被同胞咒詛和唾棄。』她要說，『阿們！阿們！』

他們猶如來自所多瑪、長在蛾摩拉的葡萄樹，結的葡萄粒粒有毒，串串苦澀；

城門口有四個痲瘋病人，他們商量說：「我們為什麼坐在這裡等死呢？如果我們進城，城裡正鬧饑荒，我們會餓死；但我們坐在這裡也是死，不如去投靠亞蘭軍。如果他們不殺我們，我們就能活命；如若不然，死就死吧！」
