我儕靜坐何為乎、其會集而入鞏固之邑、隕亡於彼、我上帝耶和華飲我以毒水、使我隕亡、緣我干犯耶和華也、

先知告民曰、我儕坐此曷故、必會眾入城、在彼默默無語、我獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、使我嘗膽、無詞可述。

“ Then the people will say,‘ Why should we wait here to die? Come, let’s go to the fortified towns and die there. For the Lord our God has decreed our destruction and has given us a cup of poison to drink because we sinned against the Lord.

The people say,“ Why are we just sitting here? Let us gather together inside the fortified cities. Let us at least die there fighting, since the LORD our God has condemned us to die. He has condemned us to drink the poison waters of judgment because we have sinned against him.

“ Why do we sit still? Assemble yourselves! Let’s enter into the fortified cities, and let’s be silent there; for Yahweh our God has put us to silence, and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against Yahweh.

大卫对亚比筛说：“现在比基利的儿子示巴对我们带来的危害恐怕比押沙龙还要大。你带领我的部下去捉拿他，免得他占据了坚固的城池，得以逃脱。”

他们给我苦胆当食物，又拿醋给我解渴。

士兵给耶稣喝掺了苦胆汁的酒，祂尝了一口，不肯喝。

你们中间，不论男人或女人，家族或支派，切不可有人背弃我们的上帝耶和华，去祭拜列国的神明，免得你们中间有残根长出苦毒的果实，

“你们要在犹大和耶路撒冷宣告，‘要在全国吹起号角’，高声呼喊，‘要集合起来，我们要逃进坚城。’你们要向锡安举起旗帜，赶快逃亡，不要迟延，因为我要从北方降下灾祸，大肆毁灭。”

亲属抬出尸体焚烧时，必问内屋的人：“你那里还有别人吗？”那人必回答：“没有。”问的人必说：“不要作声，我们不可提耶和华的名。”

摩西告诉亚伦：“耶和华曾说过，‘我要在事奉我的人中显明我的圣洁，在所有子民面前彰显我的荣耀。’”亚伦默默无言。

世人都当在耶和华面前肃静，因为祂要从圣所起来了。

年轻时负轭受苦是有益的。受耶和华管教时，要默然独坐。

然而，我默不作声，连好话也不出口时，内心就更加痛苦。

但耶和华住在祂的圣殿中，世人都要在祂面前肃静。”

耶和华啊，我们承认自己和我们祖先的罪，我们都得罪了你。

然后让那妇人站在耶和华面前，解开她的头发，把那素祭放在她手里。祭司要拿着带给罪人咒诅的苦水，叫她发誓。祭司要对她说，‘如果你没有出轨，没有背着丈夫与人通奸，就不会被这苦水所害。如果你曾出轨，背着丈夫与人通奸，你喝下这苦水后，愿耶和华使你大腿消瘦、肚腹肿胀、不能生育，使你被同胞咒诅和唾弃。’她要说，‘阿们！阿们！’

他们犹如来自所多玛、长在蛾摩拉的葡萄树，结的葡萄粒粒有毒，串串苦涩；

城门口有四个麻风病人，他们商量说：“我们为什么坐在这里等死呢？如果我们进城，城里正闹饥荒，我们会饿死；但我们坐在这里也是死，不如去投靠亚兰军。如果他们不杀我们，我们就能活命；如若不然，死就死吧！”
