They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.“ Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace.

They bandage the wounds of my people as if they were not very deep.‘ Peace, peace,’ they say. But there isn’t any peace.

They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace.

They have treated the brokenness of my dear people superficially, claiming,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

They have healed the brokenness of the daughter of My people superficially, Saying,‘ Peace, peace,’ But there is no peace.

For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, Saying,‘ Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace.

And they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

They have treated superficially the brokenness of My dear people, claiming,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when[ there is] no peace.

They offer only superficial help for the hurt my dear people have suffered. They say,“ Everything will be all right!” But everything is not all right!

爾之先知所傳、惟虛惟狂、未癉爾惡、免爾見虜、彼之所述、惟尚妄誕、以惑人兮。

作善者流、我不使之殷憂、爾述妄誕、使彼中心戚戚、維彼惡人、爾言必生、使心剛愎、恆作惡事、終不悛改、

如人好偽、佯托感神、以清酒醇醪、誨人燕飲、則民樂以為師、

耶和華曰、維彼先知、託我之名、普傳妄誕、我未嘗遣之、亦未嘗降諭、彼所言者、虛偽之異象、無憑之卜筮、中心所思之幻境。今我頒詔、諭彼偽先知之事、彼未嘗奉我所遣、猶託我名而告民云、斯土必無鋒刃饑饉之虞、彼先知必以鋒刃饑饉殲滅之。

蓋彼先知、誘惑我民、謂有平康、平康不至、若作垣墉、一人築之、而他人以不堅緻之泥塗之。爾當告塗之者云、淫雨必下、大雹必降、飄風驟起、擊而傾之、垣既傾矣、人將詰爾云、爾所塗者安在。主耶和華又曰、我怒震烈、忿氣殊張、必使飄風摧之、淫雨大雹撼之、毀之務盡。爾所塗之墉、我必毀之、使盡傾圮。址基畢露、爾曹偕沒、使知我乃耶和華。主耶和華曰、斯墉與塗者、可比以色列族之先知、彼言耶路撒冷必有平康、平康不至、故我毀墉、使塗之者俱沒、以雪我忿。

以色列王乃集先知、約四百人、告之曰、我欲往基列之喇末、一戰、行止若何。曰、往哉、耶和華將使彼敗於王手。

奉遣之使告米該亞曰、諸先知眾口一辭、以休徵進告於王、爾亦當言與彼無異。

爾之先知、及卜筮、占夢、術數、巫覡、告爾云、爾勿服事巴比倫王、則勿聽。若而人所言、誕妄而已、如爾信從、我必驅爾、遠離斯土、使爾殞沒。

昔巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒遷我殿之器皿、自斯邑至巴比倫、若二載之期已屆、我必返之於故土。耶和華又曰、昔猶大王、約雅金子約雅斤、及猶大庶民、被擄至巴比倫、今我必返之斯土、蓋我已折巴比倫王之軛。先知耶利米、在耶和華殿、當祭司庶民前、告先知哈拿尼亞、曰、誠心所願、我望耶和華所行、一如爾言、其殿中之器皿、所擄之人民、自巴比倫返於斯土。然我有言告爾、以及庶民、爾其諦聽。粵稽古昔、爾我之前、有先知、或言眾國大邦、必遇戰鬥、遘災害、罹疫癘、或言民得平康、苟其言有驗、則知其為耶和華所遣。
