耶利米啊，你将这番话告诉他们，他们也不会听；你向他们呼吁，他们也不会回应。

『你要將這一切話告訴他們，雖則他們不聽從；你要呼喚他們，儘管他們不應；

爾將告以斯言、惟彼不聽、爾將呼之、惟彼不應、

上帝告先知曰、爾雖有命、民不聽從、爾雖招徠、民不應命。

爾耶利米以此言告之、彼仍不聽爾、爾招之來、彼仍不應爾、

“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.

“ Jeremiah, when you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not answer.

“ So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you.

Then the LORD said to me,“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not respond to you.

“ You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

“这是耶和华说的，‘你要站在我殿的院子里，把我吩咐你的话一字不漏地告诉从犹大各城前来敬拜的人。

耶和华却说：“不要说你太年轻，我派你去谁那里，你就去谁那里；我吩咐你说什么，你就说什么。

祂说，‘我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听。

我要使你们注定被杀，丧身刀下。因为我呼唤你们，你们不回应；我讲话，你们不聆听。你们做我视为恶的事，专行令我不悦的事。”

为什么我来的时候一个人也不在？为什么我呼唤的时候没有人回答？是我的臂膀太短不能救赎你们吗？是我没有能力拯救你们吗？看啊，我斥责一声，海就干了；我使江河变为旷野，鱼类因无水而干死，发出腥臭。

祂说：“你去告诉以色列人，“‘你们听了又听，却不明白；看了又看，却不领悟。’要让这些人心灵麻木，耳朵发背，眼睛昏花，免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回心转意，就得到医治。”

我派你到那些顽固不化的人那里，向他们宣告，‘主耶和华这样说。’不管那群叛逆的人听不听，他们都会知道有一位先知在他们当中。人子啊，不要怕他们和他们的话，虽然你周围布满荆棘和毒蝎，也不要害怕。他们是一群叛逆的人，你不要怕他们的话，也不要因为他们的脸色而惊慌。他们是叛逆的，不论他们听不听，你都要把我的话告诉他们。

“人子啊，我立你做以色列人的守望者，你要把我告诫他们的话告诉他们。当我说某个恶人必灭亡时，如果你不告诫他，劝告他痛改前非，挽救他的性命，他必死在自己的罪中，而我要追究你的责任。

因为上帝的整个计划，我没有向你们避而不宣。

祂又对我说：“人子啊，现在你要到以色列人那里，把我的话传给他们。你不是奉命去语言不通的民族那里，而是到以色列人当中。我不是派你到那些语言陌生、难懂、你听不明白的民族中。我若果真派你到他们那里，他们一定会听你的话。然而以色列人却不肯听从你，因为他们顽固不化，不肯听从我。不过，我要使你的脸像他们的脸一样硬，使你的额像他们的额一样硬。我要使你的额比火石更硬，如同金刚石。他们虽然是一群叛逆的人，你不要害怕，也不要因为他们的脸色而惊慌。”祂又说：“人子啊，你要留心听我说的一切话，牢记在心。你要到你那些被掳的同胞那里，不论他们听不听，你都要向他们宣告，‘主耶和华这样说。’”

他们必攻击你，但绝不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，我必拯救你。这是耶和华说的。”
