耶和华说：“他们岂是惹我发怒呢？不是自己惹祸，以致脸上惭愧吗？”

耶和华说，‘难道他们是在惹我发怒吗？难道他们不是自害己身，自取羞辱吗？’

他们害的是我吗？岂不是他们自己，以致脸上蒙羞吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和華說：「他們豈是惹我發怒呢？不是自己惹禍，以致臉上慚愧嗎？」

耶和華說，『難道他們是在惹我發怒嗎？難道他們不是自害己身，自取羞辱嗎？』

永恆主發神諭說：他們惹怒的哪裏是我呢？豈不是惹了他們自己的禍，為要滿臉慚愧麼？

耶和華曰、彼激我怒乎、豈非自激、致面有慚色哉、

耶和華又曰、彼作此、干我震怒、豈非自貽厥羞乎。

主曰、彼豈獨激我怒乎、豈非自激其禍、致滿面蒙羞乎、

But am I the one they are provoking? declares the Lord. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?

But am I the one they are hurting?” announces the Lord.“ Aren’t they only harming themselves? They should be ashamed of it.”

Is it I whom they provoke? declares the Lord. Is it not themselves, to their own shame?

Am I the one they are hurting?” asks the Lord.“ Most of all, they hurt themselves, to their own shame.”

But are they really provoking me?” This is the LORD’s declaration.“ Isn’t it they themselves being provoked to disgrace?”

Are they provoking Me?” declares the Lord.“ Is it not themselves instead, to their own shame?”

Do they provoke Me to anger?” says the Lord.“ Do they not provoke themselves, to the shame of their own faces?”

Do they provoke me to anger? saith Jehovah; do they not provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?

But are they really provoking Me?” This is the Lord’s declaration.“ Isn’t it they themselves being provoked to disgrace?”

Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD:[ do they] not[ provoke] themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

But I am not really the one being troubled!” says the LORD.“ Rather they are bringing trouble on themselves to their own shame!

Do they provoke me to anger?” says Yahweh.“ Don’t they provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?”

Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he? (niv)

They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols. (niv)

All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced; they will go off into disgrace together. (niv)

But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten. (niv)

but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (niv)

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty. (niv)

If you sin, how does that affect him? If your sins are many, what does that do to him? (niv)

He said to me,“ Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually arouse my anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose!Therefore I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.” (niv)

The sound of wailing is heard from Zion:‘ How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.’” (niv)

“ Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame— the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you.We and our kings, our princes and our ancestors are covered with shame, Lord, because we have sinned against you. (niv)

They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.For a fire will be kindled by my wrath, one that burns down to the realm of the dead below. It will devour the earth and its harvests and set afire the foundations of the mountains. (niv)

Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares:“ Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes and avenge myself on my enemies. (niv)

From the days of our ancestors until now, our guilt has been great. Because of our sins, we and our kings and our priests have been subjected to the sword and captivity, to pillage and humiliation at the hand of foreign kings, as it is today. (niv)

Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the Lord your God when he led you in the way? (niv)
