敵曰、當備戰攻城、我儕當興、乘午時前往而攻、惜哉、日已昃、日影已長、

“ Prepare for battle against her! Arise, let us attack at noon! But, alas, the daylight is fading, and the shadows of evening grow long.

The Babylonians say,“ Prepare for battle against Judah! Get up! Let’s attack them at noon! But the daylight is fading. The shadows of evening are getting longer.

“ Prepare war against her; arise, and let us attack at noon! Woe to us, for the day declines, for the shadows of evening lengthen!

They shout,‘ Prepare for battle! Attack at noon!’‘ No, it’s too late; the day is fading, and the evening shadows are falling.’

時值亭午、我必使殘暴壯士、猝攻京邑、降以重災、使其嫠婦、較海沙愈眾、

當告異邦之人曰、興干戈、募猛士、使武夫麕至、

迦薩必荒蕪、亞實基倫必傾圯、亞實突人當亭午之時、必遭驅逐、以革倫人必拔其根株、

民曰、夏日已過、穡時既畢、而我未獲拯救。

當舉旌旆於斯土、吹角於民間、使列邦攻之、會集亞喇臘、米尼、亞實基拿人、立武夫長、使驍騎咸至、若蝗眾多。使米太君民、牧伯長者、與其眾庶、攻巴比倫、

耶和華又曰。宜登邑垣、雉堞環列、非屬於我、可撤其衛、勿盡毀之。

夫子我所眷愛、譬彼麀鹿、遊於庇得之山、曷歸曷歸、待夕已過、待旦已明、然後相離。

必張其旌旆、號召地極之民、招徠遠方之眾、倉猝之間、無不咸集、其中困乏者無人、顛躓者無人、寢寐者無人、不褫其帶、不解其履、礪其鏃、則甚利、引其弓、則已滿、馬蹄堅於火石、車輪疾於颶風、狂吼若牝獅、咆哮若稚獅、斷傷其所得、曳入於穴、欲求援手、迄無一人、蓋是日也、敵軍之勢、若海濤之澎湃、人望岸間、其象愁慘、其色幽暗、晦其光明、蔽以靉靆。

張旌斾於童山、號召厥眾、招之以手、俾進民牧之門、主有傑士、召為執事、以洩其憤、莫不踴躍、樂奏其能。萬有之主耶和華、核數軍實、使臨戰鬥、岡巒之上、國民和集、威聲遠振。耶和華赫然震怒、爰整其旅、以滅斯土、來自遠方、至從地極。
