追赶我们的人比飞鹰更快，他们在山上追捕我们，在旷野伏击我们。耶和华膏立的王——我们的生命之气落入他们的陷阱。我们原希望借他的荫庇立足于列国中。

我看见主站在祭坛旁，祂说：“要击打柱顶，使殿的根基震动；要打碎柱顶，使殿宇坍塌压死众人。侥幸生还的，我要用刀剑杀掉，没有一个能逃脱，没有一个能幸免。即使他们挖洞钻进阴间，我也要把他们揪出来；即使他们爬上高天，我也要把他们拉下来；即使他们藏在迦密山的峰顶，我也要去搜寻，捉住他们；即使他们潜到海底，我也要派海蛇去吞咬他们；即使他们被敌人掳去，我也要命刀剑追杀他们。我要定睛在他们身上，不是要赐福而是要降祸。”

他们当中的首领必在黑夜背着行装出发，在墙上挖洞钻出去，而且必蒙着脸，看不见地。我必撒开网罗捕捉他，把他带到迦勒底人的巴比伦。他必看不见那地方，却要死在那里。我要把他周围的随从和所有军队驱散到四方，并且拔刀追杀他们。

耶利米又问他：“我在什么事上得罪了你、你的臣仆或人民，以致你们把我囚在监牢中？

快捷的无法逃遁，强壮的无力可施，勇猛的救不了自己，拉弓的站立不住，腿快的无法逃脱，骑马的救不了自己。

我要撒开网罗抓住他，把他带到巴比伦，审判他对我不忠的罪。他所有的精兵都要丧身刀下，余下的也要四散逃窜。这样，你们就知道这是我耶和华说的。
