It was because of the Lord’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence. Now Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

The enemies of Jerusalem and Judah attacked them because the Lord was angry. In the end he threw them out of his land. Zedekiah refused to obey the king of Babylon.

For because of the anger of the Lord it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

These things happened because of the Lord’s anger against the people of Jerusalem and Judah, until he finally banished them from his presence and sent them into exile. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Because of the LORD’s anger, it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he finally banished them from his presence. Then Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

尼布甲尼撒王曾叫他指着上帝起誓，他卻背叛，硬着頸項，內心頑固，不歸向耶和華－以色列的上帝。

看哪，主－萬軍之耶和華要從耶路撒冷和猶大除掉眾人所倚靠的，所仰賴的，就是所倚靠的糧，所仰賴的水；

我要將埃及人交在嚴厲的主人手中，殘暴的君王必管轄他們；這是主－萬軍之耶和華說的。

耶和華－你的上帝是應當稱頌的！他喜愛你，使你坐以色列的王位，因為他永遠愛以色列，所以立你作王，使你秉公行義。」

「你要對那悖逆之家說：你們不知道這些事是甚麼意思嗎？你要這樣說，看哪，巴比倫王曾到耶路撒冷，把其中的君王和官長帶到巴比倫去，又從以色列王室後裔中選取一人，與他立約，令他發誓，又擄走國中有勢力的人，使王國衰弱，不再強盛，只能靠守盟約方得生存。他卻背叛巴比倫王，差派使者前往埃及，要求埃及人給他馬匹和許多人。他豈能亨通呢？這樣做的人豈能逃脫呢？他背了約豈能逃脫呢？主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在巴比倫，就是巴比倫王所在之處；因為巴比倫王立他為王，他竟輕看向王所起的誓，背棄王與他所立的約。當敵人建土堆，築堡壘，要殲滅許多人時，法老雖有強大軍隊和大批人馬，在戰場上還是不能幫助他。他輕看誓言，背棄盟約，看哪，雖已投降，卻又做這一切的事，他必不能逃脫。所以主耶和華如此說：我指着我的永生起誓，他既輕看我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他頭上。我要把我的網撒在他身上，他就被我的羅網纏住。我要帶他到巴比倫，在那裏因他背叛我的罪懲罰他。所有逃跑的軍隊必倒在刀下；剩餘的也必分散四方。你們就知道說這話的是我－耶和華。」

地上因有罪過，君王就多更換；因聰明和有見識的人，國必長存。

耶和華的怒氣又向以色列發作，激起大衛來對付他們，說：「去，數點以色列人和猶大人。」

邦國啊，你的君王若年少，你的羣臣早晨宴樂，你就有禍了！
