西底家王差派示利米雅的儿子犹甲和玛西雅祭司的儿子西番雅，去见耶利米先知，说：“请你为我们向耶和华我们的神祷告。”

都领进耶和华的殿里，进了神人伊基大利的儿子哈难众子的房间；这房间是在众领袖的房间旁边，在沙龙的儿子守卫殿门的玛西雅的房间上面。

这些事以后，波斯王亚达薛西在位的时候，有位以斯拉，是西莱雅的儿子，西莱雅是亚撒利雅的儿子，亚撒利雅是希勒家的儿子，

至于人民中最贫穷的、城中剩下的人民，和已经向巴比伦王投降的人，以及剩下的技工，护卫长尼布撒拉旦都掳了去。

在你院子里住一日，胜过在别处住千日；宁愿站在我神殿中的门槛上，也不愿住在恶人的帐棚里。

五月十日，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒第十九年，侍立在巴比伦王面前的护卫长尼布撒拉旦来到耶路撒冷。

可拉的曾孙、以比雅撒的孙子、可利的儿子沙龙，以及他的众亲族可拉人，担任事务的工作，看守会幕的门；他们的祖先曾经管理耶和华的营幕，看守营门。从前以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，曾经作过他们的领袖，耶和华也与他同在。米施利米雅的儿子撒迦利雅，是看守会幕大门的。这些被选看守殿门的人，共有二百一十二人；他们在自己的村庄里按着家谱登记；他们是大卫和撒母耳先见指派承担这职任的。他们和他们的子孙，按着班次，看守耶和华的殿门，就是会幕的门。在东西南北四方，都有看守的人。他们的亲族，就是住在他们村庄里的，每七天就要来和他们换班。四个殿门的守卫长都是利未人，受托看守神的殿的房间和库房。
