On the tenth day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, who served the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Nebuzaradan served the king of Babylon. In fact, he was commander of the royal guard. He came to Jerusalem. It was in the 19th year that Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. It was on the tenth day of the fifth month.

In the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month— that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon— Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, who served the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.

On August 17 of that year, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard and an official of the Babylonian king, arrived in Jerusalem.

五月七日，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒第十九年，巴比倫王的大臣，護衛長尼布撒拉旦來到耶路撒冷。

“萬軍之耶和華這樣說：‘四月的禁食、五月的禁食、七月的禁食和十月的禁食都要變為猶大家歡喜快樂的日子和歡樂的節期。所以，你們要喜愛誠實與和平。’

尼布甲尼撒第十八年，從耶路撒冷擄去的，有八百三十二人；

城裡剩下的人民，和那些已經向巴比倫王投降的人，以及其餘的人民，都被護衛長尼布撒拉旦擄到巴比倫去。

猶大王約雅斤和他的母親、眾臣僕、眾領袖，以及眾太監，出城投降巴比倫王。巴比倫王於是捉住他。那時，是巴比倫王在位第八年。

米甸人後來把約瑟賣到埃及去，賣給法老的一個臣宰，軍長波提乏。

跟隨護衛長的迦勒底人全軍拆毀了耶路撒冷周圍所有的城牆。

他們詢問萬軍之耶和華殿裡的眾祭司，以及眾先知說：“我們還要在五月哭泣和禁食，像我們這許多年來所行的嗎？”萬軍之耶和華的話臨到我，說：“你要告訴這地的人民和祭司說：‘這七十年來，你們在五月和七月禁食哀哭，豈是真的為我禁食呢？
