说：‘耶和华啊，你曾论到这地方说：要剪除它，不再有人与牲畜居住此地，必永远荒凉。’

并且要说，‘耶和华啊！你曾说要毁灭这地方，使这里人兽绝迹、永远荒凉。’

然后你要说：‘耶和华啊！论到这地方，你曾经亲自说过要把它剪除，使这地永远荒凉，没有人畜居住。’

又說：『耶和華啊，你曾論到這地方說：要剪除，甚至連人帶牲畜沒有在這裏居住的，必永遠荒涼。』

也要說：「永恆主啊，關於這地方、你曾經說過，說要把它剪除，使沒有在這裏居住的，沒有人也沒有牲口，乃是要永遠荒涼。」

且曰、耶和華歟、爾言必滅斯土、使無居民、人畜俱泯、永為荒蕪、

當言於耶和華曰、爾言必滅斯邦人民畜群、刧掠一空、地變荒蕪、歷代若此、

亦當禱曰、主歟、主曾言必滅斯地、使無居處之人民牲畜、必為荒蕪直至永遠、

Then say,‘ Lord, you have said you will destroy this place, so that neither people nor animals will live in it; it will be desolate forever.’

Then say,‘ Lord, you have said you will destroy this place. You have said that no people or animals will live here. It will be empty forever.’

and say,‘ O Lord, you have said concerning this place that you will cut it off, so that nothing shall dwell in it, neither man nor beast, and it shall be desolate forever.’

Then say,‘ Lord, you have said that you will destroy Babylon so that neither people nor animals will remain here. She will lie empty and abandoned forever.’

Say,‘ LORD, you have threatened to cut off this place so that no one will live in it— people or animals. Indeed, it will remain desolate forever.’

and say,‘ You, Lord, have promised concerning this place to cut it off, so that there will be nothing living in it, whether man or animal; but it will be a permanent desolation.’

then you shall say,‘ O Lord, You have spoken against this place to cut it off, so that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but it shall be desolate forever.’

and say, O Jehovah, thou hast spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that none shall dwell therein, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

You must say,‘ Lord, You have threatened to cut off this place so that no one will live in it— man or beast. Indeed, it will remain desolate forever.’

Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

Then say,‘ O LORD, you have announced that you will destroy this place so that no people or animals live in it any longer. Certainly it will lie desolate forever!’

and say,‘ Yahweh, you have spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that no one will dwell in it, neither man nor animal, but that it will be desolate forever.’

巴比倫本是列國中的華美，是迦勒底人引以為傲的榮耀，必像神傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣。那地必永遠沒有居民，世世代代無人居住；阿拉伯人不在那裡搭帳幕；牧羊人也不領羊群躺臥在那裡。躺臥在那裡的，只有曠野的走獸；充滿著他們房屋的，只有吼叫著的野獸；鴕鳥住在那裡，野山羊在那裡跳躍。豺狼必在巴比倫的宮中呼號，野狗必在他們華美的殿裡吠叫。巴比倫受罰的時候臨近了，它的日子必不長久。

曠野的走獸和豺狼必住在那裡，鴕鳥也必住在其中；那地永遠再沒有人居住，世世代代不再有人住在那裡，就像神傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉，和它們鄰近的城鎮一樣；必沒有人住在那裡，也必沒有人在那裡寄居。”這是耶和華的宣告。

天哪，你要因她歡喜！眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊，你們也要因她歡喜！因為神已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。”有一位大力的天使，把一塊好像大磨石一樣的石頭，舉起來拋在海裡，說：“巴比倫大城也必這樣被猛力地拋下去，決不能再找到了！彈琴、奏樂、吹笛、吹號的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！各樣手藝技工，在你中間決不能再找到了！推磨的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！燈的亮光，在你中間決不能再照耀了！新郎新娘的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！你的商人一向都是地上的大人物，萬國都因你的邪術受了迷惑。

我必使你永遠荒涼，你的城市必沒有人居住；你們就知道我是耶和華。

看哪！我要打發人去徵召北方的眾族，和我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，領他們來攻擊這地和這地的居民，以及周圍的列國；我要把他們徹底消滅，使他們成為令人驚駭，受人嗤笑的對象，和永遠荒廢的地方。”這是耶和華的宣告。

“七十年滿了以後，我要按著他們的罪孽懲罰巴比倫王和那國，就是迦勒底人之地，使它永遠荒涼。”這是耶和華的宣告。

大地震動翻騰，因為耶和華攻擊巴比倫所定的旨意立定不移，要使巴比倫的地荒涼，沒有人居住。

“行毀滅的山哪，就是毀滅全地的山哪！我要和你作對，我要伸手攻擊你，使你從山巖上滾下來，使你成為燒毀了的山。”這是耶和華的宣告。“人必不從你那裡取石頭作房角石，也不從你那裡取石頭作基石，因為你必永遠荒涼。”這是耶和華的宣告。

巴比倫必變成亂堆，成為野狗的巢穴，成為令人驚駭和嗤笑的對象，沒有人居住。
