又说：“耶和华啊，你曾论到这地方说：要剪除，甚至连人带牲畜没有在这里居住的，必永远荒凉。

说：‘耶和华啊，你曾论到这地方说：要剪除它，不再有人与牲畜居住此地，必永远荒凉。’

说：‘耶和华啊，你曾论到这地方说：要剪除它，不再有人与牲畜居住此地，必永远荒凉。’

然后你要说：‘耶和华啊！论到这地方，你曾经亲自说过要把它剪除，使这地永远荒凉，没有人畜居住。’

又說：『耶和華啊，你曾論到這地方說：要剪除，甚至連人帶牲畜沒有在這裏居住的，必永遠荒涼。』

說：『耶和華啊，你曾論到這地方說：要剪除它，不再有人與牲畜居住此地，必永遠荒涼。』

說：『耶和華啊，你曾論到這地方說：要剪除它，不再有人與牲畜居住此地，必永遠荒涼。』

並且要說，『耶和華啊！你曾說要毀滅這地方，使這裡人獸絕跡、永遠荒涼。』

然後你要說：‘耶和華啊！論到這地方，你曾經親自說過要把它剪除，使這地永遠荒涼，沒有人畜居住。’

也要說：「永恆主啊，關於這地方、你曾經說過，說要把它剪除，使沒有在這裏居住的，沒有人也沒有牲口，乃是要永遠荒涼。」

且曰、耶和華歟、爾言必滅斯土、使無居民、人畜俱泯、永為荒蕪、

當言於耶和華曰、爾言必滅斯邦人民畜群、刧掠一空、地變荒蕪、歷代若此、

亦當禱曰、主歟、主曾言必滅斯地、使無居處之人民牲畜、必為荒蕪直至永遠、

Then say,‘ Lord, you have said you will destroy this place, so that neither people nor animals will live in it; it will be desolate forever.’

Then say,‘ Lord, you have said you will destroy this place. You have said that no people or animals will live here. It will be empty forever.’

and say,‘ O Lord, you have said concerning this place that you will cut it off, so that nothing shall dwell in it, neither man nor beast, and it shall be desolate forever.’

Then say,‘ Lord, you have said that you will destroy Babylon so that neither people nor animals will remain here. She will lie empty and abandoned forever.’

Say,‘ LORD, you have threatened to cut off this place so that no one will live in it— people or animals. Indeed, it will remain desolate forever.’

and say,‘ You, Lord, have promised concerning this place to cut it off, so that there will be nothing living in it, whether man or animal; but it will be a permanent desolation.’

then you shall say,‘ O Lord, You have spoken against this place to cut it off, so that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but it shall be desolate forever.’

and say, O Jehovah, thou hast spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that none shall dwell therein, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

You must say,‘ Lord, You have threatened to cut off this place so that no one will live in it— man or beast. Indeed, it will remain desolate forever.’

Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

Then say,‘ O LORD, you have announced that you will destroy this place so that no people or animals live in it any longer. Certainly it will lie desolate forever!’

and say,‘ Yahweh, you have spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that no one will dwell in it, neither man nor animal, but that it will be desolate forever.’

由于耶和华的愤怒，巴比伦必无人居住，荒凉不堪。她满目疮痍，令路人惊惧、嗤笑。

万军之耶和华说：“我必攻击巴比伦，铲除巴比伦的名号、余民和后裔。这是耶和华说的。我必用毁灭的扫帚清扫它，使它成为沼泽之地和刺猬的住所。这是万军之耶和华说的。”

巴比伦在列国中辉煌无比，是迦勒底人的荣耀，但上帝必毁灭她，好像毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉一样。那里必人烟绝迹，世世代代无人居住，没有阿拉伯人在那里支搭帐篷，也无人牧放羊群。那里躺卧着旷野的走兽，咆哮的猛兽占满房屋；鸵鸟住在那里，野山羊在那里跳跃嬉戏。豺狼在城楼上嚎叫，野狗在宫殿里狂吠。巴比伦的结局近了，它的时候不多了！

“因此，巴比伦必杳无人烟，永远荒凉，成为豺狼等野兽出没之地、鸵鸟的栖身之所。上帝要毁灭巴比伦，像毁灭所多玛、蛾摩拉及其周围的城邑一样，使那里人烟绝迹。这是耶和华说的。

上天啊，众圣徒、众使徒和众先知啊，为她的下场欢乐吧！因为上帝已经向她施行报应，为你们申冤了。”这时，有一位大力天使举起一块像大磨石的石头扔进海里，说：“巴比伦大城也必这样被用力扔下去，消失得无影无踪。在你那里，再也听不见弹琴作乐、鸣笛吹号的声音了，再也找不到能工巧匠了，再也听不到推磨的声音了，再也看不到闪耀的灯光了，再也听不见新婚夫妇的欢笑声了。因为你的商人曾经趾高气扬，你的邪术曾经迷惑万国，

我要使你永远荒废，你的城邑杳无人迹，这样你就知道我是耶和华。

我要召集北方各族和我的仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，去攻击这片土地和其中的居民以及周围各国。我要彻底毁灭他们，使他们的下场很可怕、令人嗤笑、土地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

七十年后，我要报应巴比伦王和他国民迦勒底人的罪，使他们的土地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

大地要颤抖，痛苦地扭动，因为耶和华决意要攻击巴比伦，使她荒无人烟。

“毁灭天下的大山——巴比伦啊，我与你为敌，我要伸手攻击你，把你从悬崖上滚下去，使你化为灰烬。这是耶和华说的。再无人用你的石头做房角石或基石，你要永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

巴比伦必沦为废墟，杳无人迹，沦为豺狼出没的地方，令人惊惧、嗤笑。
