Jeremiah had written on a scroll about all the disasters that would come upon Babylon— all that had been recorded concerning Babylon.

Jeremiah had written about all the trouble that would come on Babylon. He had written it down on a scroll. It included everything that had been recorded about Babylon.

Jeremiah wrote in a book all the disaster that should come upon Babylon, all these words that are written concerning Babylon.

耶和華回答我說：“把異象寫下，清楚地記在泥版上，使讀的人容易明白，因這異象關乎一定的日期，很快就要實現，決不徒然；縱有遲延，仍當等候，因為它一定會來到，絕不耽誤。”

於是耶利米取了另一卷書卷，交給尼利亞的兒子文士巴錄；巴錄就從耶利米的口中，把猶大王約雅敬在火中燒掉的那書上的一切話，都寫在書卷上，還加上很多類似的話。

現在你去，在他們面前把這話刻在版上，記在書卷上，作日後的證據，直到永永遠遠。

“耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你要把我對你說過的一切話都寫在書上。看哪！日子快到（這是耶和華的宣告），我必使我的子民以色列和猶大被擄的人歸回。’耶和華說：‘我必使他們回到我賜給他們列祖之地，他們要重得這地為業。’”

“你取一卷書卷來，在上面寫下我在約西亞作王的時候開始，直到今日，對你所說論到以色列和猶大，以及列國的一切話。或者猶大家聽見我想要降給他們的一切災禍，各人就回轉，離開自己的惡道，我就赦免他們的罪孽和罪惡。”於是耶利米把尼利亞的兒子巴錄叫了來，巴錄就從耶利米口中，把耶和華向耶利米所說的一切話，都寫在書卷上。

所以，你要把所看見的，現在的，和今後將要發生的事都寫下來。

耶和華對我說：“你拿一塊大版，用通用的文字寫上‘瑪黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罷斯’（“瑪黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罷斯”意即“趕快擄掠，急速奪取”）。我要叫兩個誠實的見證人，就是烏利亞祭司和耶比利家的兒子撒迦利亞，來為我作見證。”我親近了女先知，就是我妻子，她就懷孕生子。耶和華對我說：“給他起名叫‘瑪黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罷斯’，因為在這孩子曉得喊叫父母以先，大馬士革的財寶和撒瑪利亞的擄物，必在亞述王面前被搬了去。”

但以理啊！你要隱藏這些話，把這書密封，直到末期，必有許多人來往奔跑，知識增多。”

說：“你所看見的，要寫在書上，也要寄給以弗所、士每拿、別迦摩、推雅推拉、撒狄、非拉鐵非、老底嘉七個教會。”
